Min. order 6 bottle(s). We have already selected the Reserva 1996 which impressed us by its complexity. The 1999 vintage also seems to be of a complex style with a rather more fruitiness. The nose already reveals good complexity with notes of very ripe dark fruit including cherries and plums, followed by wilder notes of leather and, after a few moments' aeration, notes of pepper and licorice. The wine is nevertheless only slightly marked by barrel aging. A wine of a ruby color of good intensity with glints of purple-violet shading to a softer hue at the edge of the glass. The wine has just started development. It is bright, gleaming and limpid. The wine displays good concentration. On the palate the wine corresponds note for note to the olfactory impression

with a fruity, rich attack followed by a dash of licorice freshness in mid-palate and spicy tannins to round things out. Overall it is balanced but not yet harmonious. The wine is rather luscious. We have already selected the Reserva 1996 which impressed us by its complexity. The 1999 vintage also seems to be of a complex style with a rather more fruitiness. You'll no doubt enjoy its fruity, spicy character punctuated by an animal note. The sunny influence is also evident, given the overall ripeness. A wine that can keep for a while, although its smooth character makes it interesting at present. Try it with wild pigeon stew, duck with olives, grilled pork ribs with rosemary, 'gardianne' style beef stew, Corsican 'tomme' sheep's cheese.
