Twist and Shout Multiplication is a well thought out, portable game for teaching children how to multiply numbers together and (indirectly) introducing them to division. The games develop reasoning skills and give plenty of chances to practice logic and problem solving. There are three functions to this game: "Learn" mode, which operates on two levels, a completely random and an ordered level; "Quiz" mode, which again operates on two levels, one in which the child chooses two numbers and is given two chances to select the correct answer, and another in which the child is quizzed on a specific times table; and "Thunderbolt" mode, which introduces division by asking the child to fill in the missing number in an equation--for example: "What times four equals eight?" congratulations every time five, 10 and 20 questions are correctly answered in a row. An excellent pamphlet for parents and children accompanies the game, and it is easy to follow. The game comes supplied with its own batteries and the only distraction is the American accent, though this is a relatively small point.
