All little children adore a tent where they can step into their own private hideaway world and let their imaginations run riot. This particular playhouse is delightfully themed as Thomas the Tank's engine shed. The playhouse measures 102 x 76 x 102 cm and can comfortably fit two children plus an array of toys.

The playhouse arrives flat packed and is made of a number of different poles with a Thomas fabric cover. Construction, which should take an adult about 10 minutes, is reasonably straightforward (as long as the young Thomas enthusiast can be encouraged to bring back all the tent poles he initially runs off with). The fabric, which is designed to show Thomas and his friends in their engine shed, is light and very porous so allows good air circulation.

Once erected, the playhouse is equally at home inside and outside and is capable of withstanding reasonable (though not over-enthusiastic) force. Helpfully, it's also easy to dismantle and all parts will fit back into the original box ready for the next visit from those really useful engines.
