Blankety Blank is a game for three to six players, based on the TV show of the same name. The game comes complete with everything needed to play, including the Blankety Blank pen. The aim of the game is to fill in the missing word(s) to each question and match your answer to as many of the panellists' answers as you can. One player acts as the question master and the other players take turns to be a contestant and a panellist. (If there are more than six players, you can have two contestants in the game.) To start the game, the question master decides who the first contestant is going to be--the contestant and all the panellists each get an answer sheet--and the contestant may even use the special Blankety Blank pen. The first question is read out and the contestant and panellists write their answers on the sheet provided. For example, "Little Bales, the world's smallest wrestler, was disqualified for biting his opponent's (BLANK)".

When everyone has recorded their answer, the contestant reads out his answer first, followed by each panellist in turn. Each time that the answer of the contestant matches that of the panellist it is recorded on the answer sheet. The contestant is changed after each question until all players have had a turn--the question master can also be replaced if he decides he would like to have a go at being a contestant. So where does this all lead? The two contestants with the highest number of answers then go on to play the Super Match Game. In this game there are three possible answers to each question--the answers are worth 50 points, 100 points or 150 points. When a player matches any of these answers, they record the number of points won. The player with the most points at the end of the Super Match is the winner and goes on to the Head to Head game, the last round. This is a great standby for a rainy day. --Ben King
